Shin Bafun Paper N

Every letter starts with a sheet of paper on your desk. When we design our products, choosing the brand of paper is a very important step. We carefully choose what texture and feel the paper will have, what thickness and colour will be appropriate. This is because they affect the comfort of writing and reading.

We designed the Birds Are Dinosaurs series with a micro-embossed foil stamping process. The intention was not to make the paper more decorative, but rather to bring out its unique qualities and inspire the writer's imagination.

We chose «Shin Bafun Paper N» for the writing paper and envelopes. This paper is made up of short, small fibres, feels similar to clay walls. By foil stamping on this paper, the rough texture of the paper contrasted sharply with the smoothness of the metal.

Despite its rough texture, this paper is soft to the touch and surprisingly light. That is what makes this paper interesting. You can feel its softness when you look at the raised and rounded embossing on the envelope.

Just as the human head and mind are very complex, paper has many facets. By understanding the complexity and interest of paper as the basis for letter writing, we will continue to produce letter sets that will make writers want to write a letter on this paper. Please be sure to check back with us.
